LIFE - Winst uit je Woning

Goal of the Project

Winst uit je Woning (Wujw) and TNO are aiming to accelerate the renovation wave by simplifying the renovation process for homeowners and renovators. This innovative project connects three key groups: Renovators, Homeowners, and Sustainable Parties (organizations with significant influence). The goal is to create a solution that simplifies both the pre- and post-renovation tasks for Renovators, unburden the customer journey for homeowners and offering these services entirely as a white-label option to increase the outreach.

This project contributes to increasing efficiency and reducing costs throughout the whole home renovation chain, thereby increasing the effectiveness and thus the amount of CO2 emission reduction in home refurbishments. Therefore, this project is perfectly compliant with the LIFE Programme objectives and the Green deal.

Background Winst uit je Woning

“Winst uit je Woning” (Wujw) has 12 years experience, in collaboration with over 150 municipalities, generated large amounts of leads for over 350 Renovators and unburdened homeowners in every aspect of the customer journey.

As a result of these activities, Wujw has handled and triggered over €120 million of investments in sustainable home renovation in the last two years in the Netherlands.Wujw especially stands out through its strong focus on relieving building professionals from secondary tasks, generally making up about 10%-20% of total renovation costs. Wujw’s business cases drive entirely on avoiding process costs and added efficiency benefits.

Progress

The first milestone was achieved with the official kick-off meeting together with our consortium partner TNO and the European Climate, Infrastructure and Environment Executive Agency (CINEA). The project plan and action plan have been written, and the objectives for the coming months are clear. Wujw presented its business model and the whtie label proposition at the LIFE event in Brussels.
